Sally Scott-Ralphs leads the pastoral care team. In addition, clergy and lay ministers of communion take Holy Communion to individuals at home and in residential care homes.

St John’s is linked to PARCHE (Pastoral Action in Residential Care Homes for the Elderly), an inter-church scheme in Eastbourne whereby churches provide teams to visit care homes, befriending and supporting residents.

St John’s is also on the rota of Eastbourne churches holding services for patients at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
