New Ground is a monthly Saturday breakfast gathering at St John’s.

It is built around a shared table, good food, thoughtful reflection and honest conversation. It offers space to encounter God in a way that feels open, creative and real.

This is church shaped around a table rather than a stage.
Coffee is poured. Bread is broken. Scripture is read alongside poetry and story. Silence is held. Conversation flows.

There is room to listen.

What to Expect

Breakfast together
A self-serve buffet and proper coffee. Time to settle, connect and share food without rush.

Creative space
Large shared tables with simple materials for drawing, doodling or quiet reflection. Children and adults participate side by side.

Scripture and reflection
A short, thoughtful reflection drawing from the Bible and the wider tradition of prayer and poetry. No performance. No spotlight. Just depth and space.

Conversation around the table
Gentle prompts to guide discussion. You are free to contribute or simply to listen.
