Ways to give

The mission and ministry of St John’s Church are generously funded by its members, but we can only continue to serve God’s transformation of society with financial help.

For additional information on any of the topics below please contact our Treasurer, Ian Pinder,  and leave a message via the offiice on 01323 738671, or email Ian on treasurer@stjm.org.uk.

REGULAR GIVING

The most efficient way to give is directly to the church bank account by:

  • Setting up a standing order with your bank – please use one of the Standing Order instructions available in reception or print one here Standing Order CAF.
  • Giving through your employer’s Give As You Earn Scheme – check with your employer’s HR department.
  • Setting up a standing order through a charity agency such as the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

ONE-OFF GIFTS

These will always be welcome!

On Sundays you can put cash, a charity voucher or cheque (payable to St John’s PCC) into the offering. Please use the special yellow envelopes (available around the building) for this purpose. Alternatively, one-off gifts may be handed in or posted to the Church Office.

TAX-EFFICIENT GIVING

If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax), you can make your donations tax-efficient. By completing a Gift Aid Declaration form (available in the church or Gift Aid declaration form) you will allow us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you give.

LEGACIES

You may also like to consider making a donation to St John’s in your will. Please ask your solicitor when you make or change your will, or ask us for more information.
